Suez Canal considers listing its subsidiaries on the EGX

In an interview with CNBC Arabia, “Osama Rabie,” Suez Canal Authority Chairman, said that the authority considers offering a share estimated at 20% of successful companies affiliated with the Suez Canal on the Egyptian Exchange.

He’s expecting two or three companies will be offered.

Osama Rabie also expected that the capital of the Authority’s fund would reach EGP 100 billion during the next five years, compared to its initial capital of EGP two billion.

He pointed out that the parliament will issue its approval for the establishment of the fund next month.
