EGX loses EGP 7.8bn at Wednesday’s close

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session on a varied note.

The main “EGX30” index increased by 0.1% to end at 11,685 points, while the small- and mid-cap “EGX70 EWI” declined by 3.6% to 2,224 points.

Meanwhile, the “EGX100 EWI” dropped by ​2.9% to 3,209 points and the “EGX50 EWI” slid by 3.2% to end at 2,068 points.

The market cap value declined by EGP 7.8 billion to end at EGP 742.829 billion.
