Breaking: Egypt’s Central Bank ​extends exemptions for bank commissions, transfer, and withdrawal fees

The Central Bank of Egypt announced the approval of its board of directors to extend the validity of some decisions previously taken to confront the Coronavirus pandemic, for a new period of 6 months.

This is from the beginning of January until June 30, 2022.

The bank said in a statement, today, Thursday, that the decisions that have been extended for the new period include continuing to exempt customers from all expenses.

Commissions for bank transfer services in the Egyptian pound, and the issuance of e-wallets for free.

It also includes exemption from all commissions and fees for transfers between mobile phone accounts, and transfers between any mobile phone account, and any bank account.
